The Honey Comp’s parallel processing and specific converter circuitry are made possible by innovations in their pedal design.

Carl Martin added a Dry volume to the all-new Honey Comp, allowing you to parallel process with three knobs! Parallel Processing is a studio method that allows you to put a clean (Dry) signal on top of a substantially compressed signal (which loses some if not all dynamics due to compression) to give your guitar three-dimensionality and allow it to cut through the mix.

This is a well-known method among studio musicians, but it’s usually too complicated for a pedal board! The three knobs allow you to rapidly and efficiently balance the compressed and dry signals for a professional sound!

Features of Honey Comp

The Carl Martin Honey Comp features custom DC/DC converter circuitry designed by CM. This allows us to run the pedal with +-12V internal power, which is required to maintain the same sound quality and headroom as the “old” Compressor/Limiter, which was powered by a standard 9V DC 200mA external power source.
